ATLANTA, GA – CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY today announced Lightspeed Manufacturing as its EMS Company of the Year for 2013. The distinction is bestowed annually on EMS companies that have demonstrated profitability and sustained excellence among their peers.

Haverhill, MA, USA-based Lightspeed Manufacturing has a 10-year track record of growth in its market niche of rework and repair and quickturn prototype development, accompanied more recently by turnkey SMT services. It has also pioneered the art of teaming with hardware accelerators to find new customers with huge potential growth upside.

“Lightspeed Manufacturing proves innovation isn’t limited to the Top Tier EMS players,” said Mike Buetow, editor-in-chief of CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY. “Founder Rich Breault is well on his way to recognize his vision of finding the next big OEM, but more than that, he’s outlined a model for all Tier 3 and 4 companies to follow, and in doing so reminds us yet again how much of what we call genius has its foundation in sweat equity.”

Lightspeed Manufacturing is the first small tier EMS company to be awarded the honor. It joins AsteelFlash, Fabrinet, Creation Technologies, Key Tronic EMS and Plexus in the select group of winners of the CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY EMS Company of the Year.
