BILLINGSTAD, NORWAY -- Kitron yesterday named ex PartnerTech EMS head Peter Nilsson chief executive officer. Nilsson will assume the new role no later than November, and will replace Dag Songedal, who took the job on an interim basis last June.
Nilsson comes to Kitron from PartnerTech, where he had been president of its Electronics Technology division since 2013.
"Peter brings almost 25 years of experience in electronics manufacturing and related services, in environments ranging from start-ups to global organizations, a solid background for the position as CEO of Kitron," said Kitron chairman Tuomo Lähdesmäki.
Nilsson also has held senior and executive leadership positions for Rimaster, Sanmina and Ericsson, He has a degree in industrial management from Gävle University College in Gävle, Sweden.
Songedal will continue as interim CEO until Nilsson assumes the CEO position and will then continue as managing director of Kitron AS, the contract assembler said.
