ATLANTA, GA – CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY today revealed its annual Top 50 list of the 50 largest electronics manufacturing services providers.

“2013 saw a tepid recovery, even for the biggest players,” said Mike Buetow, CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY editor in chief and author of the list. At least 22 of the top 50 companies saw sales slide last year, some by a billion or more. It’s become exceedingly difficult for EMS companies to grow organically.”

As a whole, the Top 50 recorded more than $333 billion in EMS/ODM revenue in 2013, or about 92% of the worldwide market.

The 2013 Top 50 includes Foxconn, Quanta, Pegatron, Flextronics, Compal, Wistron, Jabil Circuit, Inventec, TPV and Celestica. The complete list, along with 2013 revenues and commentary, is available here.

This was the second year CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY included ODMs on the list. Non-EMS and ODM revenue is not included, however, so for instance, Foxconn gets credit for sales of printed circuit board assemblies and box builds but not connectors or bare boards.
