GUIZHOU, CHINA – Foxconn’s goal is for $8 billion worth of annual production from its latest China factory by 2018.
The new site will be more environmentally friendly, say reports, with less chemical use and more recyclable materials. Apple and H-P are among the firm’s clients aiming to be “greener.”
The factory also is expected to help the firm expand into automotive electronics, mobile phone services and cloud computing.
Foxconn will manufacture carbon nanotubes and recyclable materials at the site, as well as consumer electronics.
Foxconn expects 35 billion yuan in annual revenue there by 2016.
