TORONTO – Celestica reported second-quarter revenue of $1.47 billion, down 2% year-over-year, but at the high end of guidance of $1.375 billion to $1.475 billion. Revenue increased 12% sequentially.

Net earnings for the quarter were $40.9 million, up 46.1% year-over-year.

For the six-month period ended June 30, revenue was nearly $2.8 billion, down 2.9% compared to the same period of 2013.

For the first six months of 2014, net earnings were $78.2 million, up 103.1% year-over-year.

For the third quarter ending Sept. 30, the firm anticipates revenue in the range of $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion.
