NEWARK, NY -- IEC Electronics last week received more than $1 million in insurance monies as part of its resolution of claims for legal expenses incurred through June 30.

On Oct. 10, the EMS company received an additional $1.3 million from its primary insurance carrier in partial reimbursement for expenses incurred fighting a class action suit on behalf of shareholders and a concurrent SEC investigation.

The company and its primary carrier have also agreed to the scope of coverage for certain legal expenses incurred after June 30, 2014.

Reimbursement for future expenses will vary with the circumstances under which such expenses are incurred and their respective amounts, the company said.
