TAIPEI -- Hon Hai (Foxconn) today issued a statement denying the theft of large numbers of iPhone 6 handsets from a company factory in China.

The ODM/EMS said media reports of a theft of the iPhone 6 were incorrect. It added that there were thefts at its China plants two years ago, but those incidents involved beta test samples, not production devices. Those previous incidents have been reported widely in the trade and business press.
