TAIPEI — Foxconn is considering Chinese listings for mainland-based sites during the next three to five years, says Chairman Terry Gou, according to reports.
The electronics manufacturer also remains interested in investing in Sharp, despite a deal that fell through in 2013 after Sharp’s earnings and shares plunged.
In the past two years, Foxconn has created industrial motherboard maker Ennoconn, casing and mechanical component unit Eson Precision, light-emitting diode component unit Advanced Optoelectronic, and wireless chip packaging unit ShunShin Technology.
Foxconn assembles Apple iPhones and iPads, Sony PlayStation game consoles, and Sharp televisions, and also makes components for automobiles and ATMs.
