ZHENGZHOU -- Foxconn reportedly is confirming reports of the death of a worker at its sprawling campus here on Aug. 4.

The employee, a 28-year old male, reportedly committed suicide by jumping off a building, the watchdog China Labor Watch said. The victim's name was not disclosed.

The campus builds iPhones for Apple, CLW said.

In a statement, Foxconn said that the employee was found dead outside a building at its campus in Zhengzhou in the early morning of Aug. 4.

CLW has been critical of Foxconn's treatment of workers, having issued a series of undercover reports highlighting violations of labor laws.
