FREMONT, CA -- Macrotron Systems has moved its manufacturing lines to a 75,000 sq. ft. former Intel facility, the company said today.

The electronics manufacturing services provider’s new home is 44235 Nobel Drive, Fremont. Macrotron occupies 40,000 sq. ft.; the remaining 35,000 capacity will be subleased.

The Nobel Drive structure increases the ability for Macrotron to expand its business, the 25-year-old firm said.

GARBSEN, GERMANYLPKF Laser & Electronics AG boosted its sales in the first quarter to $22.2 million, up 74%.

The quarterly EBIT of $5.4 million and an EBIT margin of 24% were well above original forecasts, the firm said.

The growth is attributed to business development within the Cutting & Structuring Lasers and the Rapid Prototyping segments.

The board upgraded its forecast for the year, expecting sales of at least $75.9 million and an EBIT margin of at least 14%.
