Lite-On to Build 800k Sq. Ft. Factory in Taiwan

KAOHSIUNG CITY, TAIWAN -- Lite-On Technology has broken ground on a massive new manufacturing site here where it will build LED automotive lighting and various cloud computing devices.
The $67 million site is expected to open in 2019.
The site is located in the Nantze Export Processing Zone in Kaohsiung City, in southern Taiwan.
The all-green factory will be 10 stories tall and have a total floor space of more than 800,000 sq. ft.
