HOWELL, MI — Horizon Sales has acquired Bamtech in a pairing of distributors of electronics assembly and SMT equipment.

Bamtech will be a division of Horizon Sales and will operate independently. The firm will be added to the Horizon Sales line card, and the sales and marketing team will promote both Horizon and Bamtech.  Operations will continue to be run by Jeff Habbyshaw, the former owner of the company, and it is anticipated the company will stay in its current location.

Bamtech primarily services the Ohio Valley, where it overlaps in part with Howell, MI-based Horizon Sales.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring them larger exposure in the Midwest and to accelerate our leadership in the fast-growing electronics market,” said Dave Trail, president of Horizon Sales.

No financial terms of the purchase were disclosed.
