MILPITAS, CA — Worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached a record $14.1 billion in the second quarter, SEMI said today.
Billings rose 8% sequentially and 35% over last year, the trade group added.
The mark topped the previous record level set in the first quarter of this year.
Sequential regional growth was mixed for the most recent quarter with the strongest growth exhibited by Korea. Korea maintained the largest market for semiconductor equipment for the year, followed by Taiwan and China.
