NEWBURY, UK – Newbury Electronics reported first-half 2017 orders were up 33% year-over-year.
The company also has invested more than $202,000 in new equipment and now employs 85 staff.
"The first six months of this year have been really exciting, and we are delighted our program of investment in both equipment and staff, that has been running for the last year, has reaped such rewards in terms of new orders,” said Philip King, managing director. “As customers demand ever more complex boards, it is imperative we continue to invest in the latest manufacturing equipment to ensure the highest quality products."
Since the start of the year, the firm has installed a Lynx Evo stereo microscope and mantis Elite microscope from Vision Engineering; a vapor phase solder reflow oven type BLC420 from IBL, and an Atlas Copco NGP20 nitrogen generator.
