TORONTO -- Celestica Inc. today promoted its top executive in Asia, while cutting ties with several other longtime employees amid a top-level management shakeup.
The company named president of Asia Operations, John Peri, its executive vice president of global operations, succeeding Jim Rowan, who has left the company effective
immediately. Guy Delisle was hired to run Celestica's operations in Monterrey, Mexico, the scene of several operational miscues. Delisle
was with
Sanmina-SCI.
Chief technology officer Dan Shea is
retiring, the company said.
Also out are three senior VPs: Art Cimento, corporate strategy; Lisa Colnett, human resources; and Robert Sellers, global sales.
Chief legal officer Elizabeth DelBianco will now manage HR as well.
"Our new organization design will consolidate functions within the current
organization, reducing overlap and duplication in roles and responsibilities
and driving clearer accountability, greater simplicity and increased speed,"
said CEO Craig Muhlhauser.
Earlier this week the company announced disappointing quarterly results.
