ST. LOUIS -- LaBarge Inc. has received additional orders totaling $4.4 million from Modular Mining Systems for electronic assemblies used in mine information management systems. The company expects to receive follow-on orders. Since 2001, LaBarge has been the exclusive, turnkey manufacturer of electronic hardware for Modular Mining's mine management systems. Production on the new orders began this winter at LaBarge's Pittsburgh facility and is expected to continue through June.

Modular Mining is a unit of Komatsu America Corp.
