Circuits Assembly Online Magazine - Videocon Still Wants Daewoo

AURANGABAD, INDIA – Videocon Industries still wants Daewoo Electronics, but only if the price is "reasonable," say published reports.

Videocon chairman and managing director Venugopal Dhoot said, “We have diversified our interests in energy and power sectors. We may not be interested in pursuing [Daewoo] if the price is very high."

Last year, Daewoo creditors blocked a Videocon bid, refusing the consumer electronics OEM’s request to lower the $700 million original offer by 13%.
