GLENVIEW, IL -- The worst kept secret in the industry was made official as Illinois Tool Works has finalized its acquisition of solder-paste supplier Kester Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Kester is on track for estimated revenues of $175 million in 2006, ITW said in a press release. More than 40% of the company's revenues are from Asia.

ITW is a $12.8 billion in revenues diversified manufacturer of highly engineered components and industrial systems and consumables. The company consists of approximately 700 business units in 48 countries and employs some 50,000 people.
