MERRIMACK, NH -- Virtex Enterprises has acquired Circuit Technology, a contract manufacturer of high-mix, low-volume production of mission-critical products.

Virtex, which is owned by Insight Equity Holdings, did not disclose financial or other terms.

Merrimack, NH-based Cirtech was founded in 1984 and focuses on the military and aerospace segments.

Clare Parker, founder and chairman, Cirtech, said, “As our family began considering transitioning out of Cirtech, we wanted to ensure that the 35 years of customer and employee relationships were nurtured and supported. We are very happy to have found a partner in VirTex, who shares our culture of quality, reliability and customer focus, while at the same time supporting our management team to continue to lead the growth of Cirtech.”

According to Victor Vescovo, managing partner, Insight Equity, “The acquisition of Cirtech further establishes VirTex’s position as a leading nationwide EMS partner for low-volume, high complexity manufacturing within our core markets of aerospace and defense, medical, and industrial technology.”

VirTex is based in Austin, TX, and has manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Juarez, Mexico. It has been acquiring other US-based EMS companies, most recently PPI-Time Zero (New Age EMS), last September. It also owns MTI Electronics in Wisconsin and AVJ Electronics in Mexico.
