JOHOR DARUL TAKZIM, MALAYSIA – SKP Resources reported fiscal first quarter revenue down 16% year-over-year to RM362.5 million (US$87 million) on lower contributions from conventional electrical appliances due to a key customer’s shift to an evolutionary model. Sequentially, revenue was up 2%.
For the quarter ended June 30, net profit was RM18.5 million (US$4.4 million), down 29% year-over-year and 10% sequentially.
The company primarily performs mechanical assembly and box build. It added its first SMT assembly line in April, and additional lines are expected to ramp in September and November.
