INDIANAPOLIS – Specialty Coating Systems named Tim Bender president and CEO, effective today. He was previously executive vice president, sales and marketing, for the firm.

President and CEO Terry Bush is retiring after 37 years with the company.

Bender’s experience in human resources and leading the global sales and marketing efforts for more 15 year have prepared him for his new role in which he will execute SCS’s core strategies related to sales and profit growth, regional expansion and operational excellence.

“Terry has played a major role in strategically shaping SCS into the company it is today,” said Bender, “The company has grown greatly under his leadership – not only in the number of locations and overall revenue, but Terry’s compassion for employees and his desire to see employees at every level of the organization grow. He embodies the values we have set forth as a company: respect, integrity, service and excellence. While he will be missed, Terry has left a unique mark on the history of SCS that will long benefit the company and its employees.”

SCS provides Parylene coating services and technologies with facilities throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
