SKP Resources Posts Fiscal Q4 Revenue Up 4%
KUALA LUMPUR – EMS firm SKP Resources reported fiscal fourth quarter revenue of RM 444.9 million (US$107.8 million), up 4.4% year-over-year.
For the quarter ended Mar. 31, profit before tax was RM 38.8 million, an increase of 367.5% compared to the same period in 2020. Operating profit was RM 38 million, up 459%.
The PCBA division has started to contribute positively to group revenue and earnings, and it is currently working on several new products, the company says.
During the fiscal fourth quarter, SKP Resources undertook a voluntary shut down of its Johor Bahru operations from Jan. 16 to Jan. 29 as a health precautionary measure and to facilitate the Covid-19 screening of employees.
For fiscal 2021, revenue was RM 2.3 billion, growth of 25% year-over-year. Profit before tax was RM 167.3 million, an increase of 74%. Operating profit grew 83.5% to RM 164.6 million compared to fiscal 2020.
Cash and cash equivalents as of Mar. 31 were RM 56.7 million, compared to RM 55.3 million on Mar. 31, 2020.
