TAIPEI – Foxconn reported record-high third quarter sales of NT$1.4 trillion (US$50 billion), up 8.8% year-over-year and 3.4% sequentially.
Total consolidated sales for September were NT$585.7, an increase of 25.6% from a year earlier and 46.4% compared to the prior month. The increase in sales is attributed to the release of Apple’s iPhone 13.
In the first nine months of 2021, Foxconn posted NT$4.1 trillion in consolidated sales, up 22.6% year-over-year.
The company’s consumer smart device division had its best performance in September, followed by electronics components, computers and cloud-based networking, according to reports.
The iPhone 13 is expected to continue to push Foxconn’s fourth quarter shipments. The EMS giant is believed to be responsible for 65-70% of assembly orders for the iPhone 13 series.
Foxconn is also expected to benefit from growing demand in servers and related components throughout the fourth quarter.
