TAIPEI, TAIWAN – Foxconn reported a sharp rise in fourth-quarter revenue as demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure accelerated, underscoring the growing influence of AI hardware on the global electronics manufacturing landscape.

Foxconn posted fourth-quarter revenue of about $82.7 billion, up 22.1% year over year. On a US dollar basis, revenue climbed 26.4%, reflecting strong momentum across AI-related product lines.

Growth was led by Foxconn’s cloud and networking division, driven by increased shipments of AI servers and rack-scale systems. The company said revenue growth exceeded expectations both sequentially and annually, creating a high comparison base heading into this year.

By contrast, Foxconn’s smart consumer electronics segment, which includes smartphone assembly, recorded a modest decline due to unfavorable foreign exchange effects. Looking ahead, the company expects information and communications technology products to face seasonal softness in the first quarter, though continued strength in AI server demand should keep overall performance near the upper end of its historical range.

Foxconn is scheduled to release its fourth-quarter profit results in March.
