WASHINGTON, DC – Global semiconductor sales reached a record $791.7 billion in 2025, rising 25.6% year over year, according to new data from the Semiconductor Industry Association. The results mark the strongest annual performance in the industry’s history and reflect accelerating demand across computing, automotive and advanced electronics markets.

Growth was led by logic and memory products, which posted the largest gains among major semiconductor categories. Logic product sales increased nearly 40% in 2025, making it the largest segment by revenue, while memory sales rose more than 30% as market conditions improved and demand strengthened.

Momentum also accelerated late in the year, with fourth-quarter sales reaching $236.6 billion, up more than 37% compared with the same period in 2024. December sales continued to trend higher on a sequential basis, signaling sustained demand entering 2026.

Regionally, annual sales increased across Asia Pacific, the Americas, China and Europe, while Japan recorded a year-over-year decline. Industry forecasts project continued expansion, with global semiconductor sales expected to approach $1 trillion in 2026 as adoption of AI, cloud infrastructure, autonomous systems, and next-generation connectivity continues to scale.
