HARROGATE, UK – Robotas Technologies Ltd., pioneers in Through-Hole Technology (THT) component placement and clinching systems, is excited to announce its return to the 2025 IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled for March 18-20, 2025 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Visitors to Booth #1711 will have the opportunity to experience Robotas’ cutting-edge solutions for optimizing THT assembly processes, including the Mascot Clinch SMEMA Conveyor System, intelligent Carousels, Dynamic Pick-to-Light (DPL) Arrays, and the innovative Mascot VERIFY Module.
Robotas will use the 2025 IPC APEX EXPO as a platform to showcase the Mascot VERIFY THT Inspection Module, designed to uphold the highest standards of error-free PCB assembly before soldering. Featuring a built-in Verify Camera, the system ensures components are accurately placed by checking for presence, absence, and polarity during operator placement. This guarantees a seamless No Fault Forward process, enhancing the reliability and precision of THT assembly.
Robotas’ Mascot systems automate and streamline PCB assembly with laser- guided component placement and visual work instructions. These systems improve product quality, increase throughput, and virtually eliminate setup time and rework. Fully ESD-safe and electronically height-adjustable, Mascot systems also feature ergonomic component storage and delivery via Carousels and DPL Arrays, mounted on articulated arms for enhanced operator comfort.
A key highlight at the Robotas booth will be the Mascot Clinch Conveyor System, a cutting-edge replacement for aging Contact Systems Clinch Technology, including the CS400, CS600, and CS900 product lines. Featuring IPC CFX compliance, the Mascot Clinch Conveyor uses a three-stage ESD-safe, SMEMA-controlled motorized conveyor. Its Clinch Technology secures leads of inserted components from the underside of the PCB, preventing components from dislodging or moving during wave soldering, further optimizing the THT assembly process.
Robotas’ Mascot Software simplifies assembly programming with seamless integration of data from Contact Systems, PCB CAD, or Gerber files. Programs can be created offline, allowing operators to remain productive on the shop floor while new assembly programs are generated. This functionality maximizes efficiency and keeps production lines running smoothly.
Joining Robotas at the 2025 IPC APEX EXPO is Swiss manufacturer POLYVER, showcasing their NCG3-Cutter. This fully automatic component processing machine cuts, bends, and crimps taped and loose axial components with 0.1mm accuracy, completely stress-free. POLYVER’s precision processing machines are ideal for radial and axial THT components, offering unmatched reliability for THT assembly.
Robotas Technologies continues its mission to deliver smart, modular technology into the hands of production staff, enabling factory-wide optimization of manual assembly processes. By providing end-to- end solutions, Robotas empowers manufacturers to transform productivity into profitability.
