Suntron Corp. today reported an operating loss of $2.6 million on net sales of $70.6 million for its third quarter. The net loss increased $2.2 million to $3.7 million.
The results include $1.2 million of professional fees related to outstanding litigation and $1.1 million of restructuring charges related to severance, retention and lease exit costs tied to the closure of two U.S. manufacturing operations.
Gross profit was $4 million
(5.7% of net sales), down $1.5 million from last year and $2.2 million sequentially.
The operating loss rose $2.2 million year-over-year and sequentially.
In the second quarter, the net
loss was $1.3 million.
During
the third quarter the company gained three new customer wins.
