GLENVIEW, IL –
Illinois Tool Works, the parent company of several leading electronics suppliers, reported operating revenues fell 25% for the three months ended April 30.
Sales at the company’s Power Systems and Electronics unit fell 35.1% from a year ago. The unit includes Speedline Technologies, Vitronics and other leading suppliers.
The conglomerate reported a 23% fall in base revenues and an 8% drop due to currency translation. Acquisitions added 6% to revenues for the quarter.
The company reiterated its second-quarter forecast, which calls for total revenue to rise five to 11% sequentially.
