ARLINGTON, VA -- Component orders continued to climb in November, taking a "brief pause" for the US Thanksgiving holiday, the Electronic Components Association said today.
According to the trade group's monthly order index, orders rose 125 to 130% in the first three weeks of November before dipping to an 87% rise during Thanksgiving week (Nov. 22-28). The 12-month average continued to rise year-over-year, the association said.
"No surprises," said ECA president Bob Willis in a press release. "Except for the Thanksgiving break, we've seen a steady rise in orders over the past five months. Let's hope the momentum can be carried into 2010."
