TAIPEI – Foxconn said it would raise salaries in April for employees here who make less than $39,560 a year, according to published reports.
Other employees who qualify will receive a raise of almost $100 per month, the firm says.
Foxconn also plans to hire 15,000 new staff members soon, 70% in R&D. The remaining 30% will work for e-commerce, marketing and finance analysis departments, say reports.
Raises will only apply to staff in Taiwan; the electronics manufacturer does not yet have a plan to raise salaries in China.
