BRADENTON, FL – A local engineering company has developed a process attaching electrical terminals to PCBs by removing the ear sections on certain GBBA and FAE terminals and replacing them with pins that plug directly into a printed circuit board.

The board is then soldered in place.

The ETCO GBBA plugs into a wall socket, and consumers can plug devices into the FAE on the other side of the device. Power is transferred through the PCB, while other components allow consumers to control devices remotely.

The technology can be used by manufacturers of smart outlets, battery chargers, medical devices and extension cords, among others.
