MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The SMTA is currently seeking student applications for the Charles Hutchins Educational Grant.

The $8,000 grant, cosponsored by the SMTA and CIRCUITS ASSEMBLY, was established in memory of past SMTA president Dr. Charles Hutchins. The SMTA has awarded over $100,000 to recipients since 1998.

Eligible applicants must be full-time, graduate-level students pursuing a degree and working on thesis research in electronics assembly, electronics packaging, or a related field. Interested applicants should visit https://smta.org/page/hutchins-grant to complete the application.

All required materials are due Apr. 30.

The grant committee reviews all qualified applications and makes their recommendation to the SMTA board of directors. The winners will be honored at the SMTA International Conference in Minneapolis, MN, Nov. 1-4.
