MAPLE LAWN, MD – Electronics manufacturer ELTA Systems is opening a 7,500 sq. ft. facility here, and plans to expand to 25,000 sq. ft.

The company intends to create 100 high-tech jobs during the next four years, according to published reports.

The Maryland Economic Development Assistance Fund reportedly provided ELTA with a $300,000 10-year loan, provided the firm creates 100 jobs at the Maryland location by 2021.

ELTA is a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries. The firm produces electronic radar, communication and surveillance equipment.

The firm has $1 billion in annual sales, 90% from exporting defense systems.

HERTFORDSHIRE, UKPeak Production Equipment has joined Goepel’s JTAG/boundary scan test alliance.

The global alliance program, known as GATE (Goepel Associated Technical Experts), develops and implements new products based on combined functional and JTAG/boundary scan test, as well as enhancements in the integration of JTAG/boundary scan products in existing test systems built by Peak.

This would permit a test and integration solution to be provided from one source.

Goepel is a provider of boundary scan related software and equipment.
